Training Visa (Subclass 407)
The Training Visa (Subclass 407) is a short-term visa designed for those visiting Australia to engage in
- Professional development or occupational training
- Participate in capacity building work abroad
- Attend work-based activities to fulfill occupational registration or licensing requirements
- Earn continuing professional development (CPD) experience or
- Further training, and develop skills relevant to higher education studies with a training visa
Main Eligibility for Training visa
- Have turned 18
- Have functional English
- Hold private health Insurance
- Genuinely intend to stay temporarily in Australia for the Intended purpose
- Meet health and character requirements
Sponsorship by an approved temporary Activities Sponsor is also required.
Generally, a training visa is valid for stays in Australia for up to two years.
However, its enclosed visa condition “8102 “ which means you must not work unrelated to the course or training specified as the basis for your visa application.
Condition ‘8104’- Secondary applicants must not work more than 40 hours while the main applicant is onshore.
